Eugene Allen McAlee

Eugene Allen McAlee, age 71, of Mary Street, Johnsonburg, PA, died at home on February 16, 2026 after a two year illness.  A son of the late John R. and Lillian (Willow) McAlee, he was born on November 7, 1954 in St. Marys, PA.

Eugene is survived by four children, Eric, Ian, Sarah and Benjamin McAlee; three grandchildren, Connor, Jaylen and Mason; six siblings, Donna (John) Chamoff, Mary Kay (Frank) Jovenitti, Kevin (Nicole) McAlee, Denise (Bill) Boylan, Sean (Teri) McAlee and Nancy (Bart) Nelson; and a sister-in-law, Tracy McAlee.

Besides his parents, Eugene was predeceased by a brother, Clem McAlee.

Living all his life in Johnsonburg, Eugene was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  He was a graduate of Elk County Catholic Schools and also received an Associate Degree in Nursing.  He worked as an LPN in several institutions, including the Lutheran Home at Kane.  He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Kane Country Club.  He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and especially loved his family.

There will be no public visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg, with Father David Wilson.

Interment will take place in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
